01 · The Reality

Caribbean construction plays
by its own rules.

Limited local stock. Specialty materials weeks away. Customs that moves at island pace. Freight quoted per shipment. Every contractor knows the rhythm, and every contractor pays for it.

Caribbean Axion Supply was built for exactly this market. We pool the buying power of contractors across the region and turn it into something only the biggest players normally get. Real leverage with manufacturers. Consolidated freight. One partner who owns the entire chain from spec sheet to project site.

One co operative. One number to call. One invoice. The savings go back to the people who do the building.

  • 01

Limited buying power on your own

Going it alone means paying retail on small orders, even from the same supplier that quotes lower to larger builders. Pooled volume changes that math.

  • 02

Anything not on the shelf is a problem

Specialty products that are scarce on the islands, and the popular items that sell out fast. Both are weeks away if you try to source them alone. We source globally as standard, and nothing is off the menu.

  • 03

    Customs at island pace

A container finally lands and then waits at port while paperwork catches up. Our local agents pre file every release before arrival.

  • 04

Quotes that don't reflect your volume

Suppliers price small orders at retail. The contractor next door pays the same. Combined across the co operative, your real volume gets priced like real volume.

02 · The Model

A co-op, not a store.

Caribbean Axion Supply is structured as a buying cooperative. Contractors become members. We pool the volume of every member across every island and negotiate directly with manufacturers, freight networks, and customs agents. The savings get passed back. Twice.

STEP 01

You Order at
Member Price

Send us your project spec. We source, ship and deliver to your project site at member pricing that no individual contractor could negotiate alone.

STEP 02

The Co-op Earns
on Volume

Combined member orders unlock direct manufacturer pricing, container consolidation, and exclusive supplier deals no single contractor could negotiate.

STEP 03

You Get
a Year-End Rebate

A fixed share of co-op profits is returned to members each Q1, pro-rata to what you spent. Cash payout, or credit toward next year's orders.

The Flywheel

More members → Better deals → Bigger rebates → More members.

Every contractor that joins makes the co operative stronger. Combined volume unlocks better supplier terms, which lowers member prices and increases the rebate pool, which makes membership more attractive.

10 · From the Field

What members say.

"We've been paying retail for fifteen years because nobody offered an alternative. The first quarterly rebate alone covered the membership fee for the next three years."
Operations Lead General Contractor · Curaçao
"CAS pulled a fire-rated system spec we couldn't source locally for three weeks. They had it on our site in eleven days, customs included. That's the difference."
Project Director Hotel Renovation · Sint Maarten
"They quote landed cost to the jobsite. Not ex-warehouse, not FOB port. The number on the quote is the number we pay. That alone changed how we estimate."
Cost Manager Property Developer · Aruba
09 · FAQ

Questions before
you apply.

What if you raise the dues next year?
For members who join in 2026, your tier price is locked for 2 years from your sign-up date. If we adjust dues for new joiners as we scale, your rate does not move. That is the rate lock, a thank-you for backing the co-op before there is a long track record to point at.
How are you actually cheaper than buying locally?
We buy directly from manufacturers across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, in pooled member volume across the Caribbean. We consolidate everything through one regional hub, then ship in dedicated containers per island. No retail storefronts. No three layers of middlemen. No 40% local markup. The savings stay in your project, not in someone else's overhead.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. Membership is annual and cancel-anytime. If you cancel mid-year, dues are non-refundable but you remain a member until your renewal date, so you keep ordering at member pricing until then. No multi-year contracts. No exit fees.

Your rebate is yours either way. The rebate accrues on every dollar you spend during your active membership and is paid out at the normal year-end cycle, whether you have renewed or not. This is how patronage rebates work in established buying co-ops. The only ways to forfeit accrued rebate are material breach such as unpaid invoices or fraud. Cancellation alone does not cost you rebate you have already earned.
Who handles customs, duties, and clearing?
We do. End to end. We source the materials, ship them, clear customs, pay all import duties and local taxes upfront, and deliver to your project site. You receive one invoice with the full cost breakdown, with no surprises at the port.
What if something is damaged or short on arrival?
Every shipment is insured under a marine cargo policy. The premium sits inside the cost stack on your quote. Risk transfers to you on delivery to the named site. If goods arrive damaged or short, claims are filed directly with the insurance carrier; we hand you the bill of lading, shipping documents and a claim template, and we coordinate with the carrier on your behalf. For administrative errors on our side (wrong item picked, miscount, billing mistake), we replace or credit at our cost. Full liability terms are in our General Terms & Conditions, which we send when you join.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum order quantity. Ocean freight is calculated per cubic meter (CBM). A minimum freight charge per shipment applies and varies by destination and route. For very small orders, retail can still be cheaper because the freight floor weighs heavier on small volume. We will always tell you honestly whether shipping makes sense for your order before you commit.
How long until I receive my materials?
Typical lead time is 4 to 6 weeks from order confirmation: one week to source, two to three weeks ocean transit, one week customs clearance and last-mile delivery. Expedited air freight is available for urgent items at additional cost, useful for finishing materials or specialty fixtures you need immediately.
Can I see the actual cost breakdown on every order?
Yes. Every quote we send shows the full stack: supplier cost (FOB), freight, insurance, customs duty, local tax, port handling, last-mile delivery, and our service fee. Itemized, in dollars, no aggregation. You see exactly what each piece costs. Nothing hidden. Nothing rolled up.
What if you don't stock something I need?
Tell us. We source on request. If you need it once, we get a quote and ship it for you. If you need it regularly, we add it to our catalogue so other members benefit too. The co-op grows by what its members ask for. Every member shapes what we stock.
What are the payment terms per tier?
Starter: 14-day terms. Professional: 30-day terms. Gold: 45-day terms. New members start with a small first order on 50% upfront / 50% on delivery to establish the relationship; net terms unlock from the second order onward, once we have a track record together.
